removing all doubt
- download the isop
- dd it onto a usb stick making it bootable as follows: dd bs=4M if=/path/to/downloaded.iso of=/dev/sdc
- turn it off
- grab a small screwdriver
- flip the turle on it's back
- remove all doubt about your warranty's validity
- open her up
- find the write protect screw
- unscrew it, and take it out
- re-assemble, and flip your turle upright
