אָמַר נָבָל בְּלִבֹּו אֵין אֱלֹהִים		ahmar nahvahl bleebo ain elohim	The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”
הִשְׁחִיתוּ הִתְעִיבוּ עֲלִילָה		hishkheetwo heeteevoo uhleelah	They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds.
אֵין עֹשֵׂה טֹוב, אֵין עֹשֵׂה טֹוב		ain ohsay tohv	there is none who does good.

לִרְאֹות הֲיֵשׁ מַשְׂכִּיל דֹּרֵשׁ אֶת אֱלֹהִים		leeroat huhyesh masskeel doaresh eht elohim	to see if there are any who understand,who seek after God.

אֵין גַּם אֶחָד		ain gahm ekhad	not even one.

הֲלֹא יָדְעוּ כָּל פֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן		huhlow yahd-oo coal pohuhlay ahven	Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers
אֹכְלֵי עַמִּי אָכְלוּ לֶחֶם		oakhlay ahmee ahkhloo lekhem	who eat up my people as they eat bread
יְהֹוָה לֹא קָרָאוּ		Yehovah low kahrah-oo	and do not call upon the LORD?
שָׁם פָּחֲדוּ פָחַד		shahm pakhadoo pehkhad	There they are in great terror
כִּי אֱלֹהִים בְּדֹור צַדִּיק		kee elohim behdoar tsahdeek	for God is with the generation of the righteous.
עֲצַת עָנִי תָבִישׁוּ		uhtsat ahnee tahveeshoo	You would shame the plans of the poor
כִּי יְהֹוָה מַחְסֵהוּ		kee Yehovah makhseh-hoo	but the LORD is his refuge.
מִי יִתֵּן מִצִּיֹּון יְשׁוּעַת יִשְׂרָאֵל		mee yee-ten meetsee-own yeshoo-aht eesrah-el	Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
בְּשׁוּב יְהֹוָה שְׁבוּת עַמֹּו		behshoov Yehovah shevoht ahmoh	When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people
יָגֵל יַעֲקֹב יִשְׂמַח יִשְׂר͏ָאֵל		yeeghel yahakohv yeesmahkh eesrah-el	let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.
